Notes

The AC prefix is the third serial number block in the Glock 17 Gen1 production sequence, following the AB prefix. Like all early G17 prefixes, it spans serial numbers 000 through 999 and was produced at the Glock factory in Deutsch-Wagram, Austria. AC-prefix pistols were proofed at the Vienna Proof House and carry Austrian proof marks on the barrel and slide. All known AC-prefix barrels carry the March 1984 proof code, which suggests they were proofed in one batch. AC-prefix guns were manufactured in both duotone (dark slide over light barrel) and standard Dark Gray Phosphate (Parkerized) finishes, with the duotone configuration appearing on a substantial majority of known examples, including a strong concentration in the upper serial number range.
