Look it up

Every early Glock has a serial number, and its first letters, the prefix, point to when the pistol was made. These pages are open to everyone. No account is needed.

Search by serial number

Type a full or partial serial number into the search box on the home page, or several prefixes separated by commas, such as AN, DN, EN. The results list every documented Example that matches, with its model, generation, slide finish and proof date.

Read a Prefix page

A Prefix page gathers what is known about a prefix: the model and generation, the proof dates found on its documented Examples, the US import date where one is known, and a confidence tier that shows how well the information is sourced. Below that are the documented Examples that carry the prefix.

Each Example is one individually documented pistol. Its page shows the serial number, model, generation, caliber, slide finish, barrel type, market, proof code and the proof date decoded from it. Visitors who are not logged in see the cover photo. Members see every photo.

Use the reference tools

Proof vs Serial Number lists every prefix and proof code combination documented in the registry, with its decoded proof date and the serial number range of the Examples that carry it. The SN Graphic and the 17 Gen 1 Cheat Sheet show the same story month by month. You will find all three under Explore Registry in the menu.
